Art of Fiber Festival Aug 18-19 in Buffalo

First Annual: The Art of Fiber Festival

@The Cowboy Carousel Center

Buffalo, WY

August 18th and 19th 2017

The Cowboy Carousel Center, Mountain Meadow Wool Mill and local artists of Buffalo, WY, are excited to host the first annual Art of Fiber Festival. What makes our festival unique is the historic building venue, access to our very own, locally owned wool mill, and the exciting inclusion of paper, book, and mixed media arts. We invite you to visit the Cowboy Carousel Center and Mountain Meadow Wool Mill on Facebook.

We are looking for artisan vendors and workshop teachers as well as those who would like to share their art through public demonstrations. Due to the nature of our building, booth spaces are approximate. Please allow for flexibility in your display. We can give you your space measurements and other details upon request. Set up will be available Thursday the 17th from 4-7 pm and Friday the 18th from 7am to 10am. The festival will run from 11am to 7pm Friday the 18th and 9am to 5pm Saturday the 19th. We will have indoor space and outdoor space available. Please be prepared for weather should you prefer an outdoor booth.

Please include 3 digital photos of your handmade goods and/or displays from other vendor events you have participated in. Please make sure your work qualifies as fiber related (textile, paper, wool, etc.). For example, your work might be mixed media but should focus on the art of fiber and its creative uses; not welding, metal, painting, etc. If your work does not fall within the guidelines your booth fee will be returned. If you would like to have a booth as well as teach a workshop please plan ahead and have a second person with you to tend your booth while you teach. Once you have applied you will be added to our mailing list for this and future events. Thank you and we look forward to seeing you in August!
