Call for Artists for Public Art

Calls for entry for two Art in Public Buildings projects, are currently open and requested by the Wyoming Arts Council.

The calls are listed separately and are available on CaFE – callforentry.org. Additional details, including eligibility requirements, timelines, and budget information are available on CaFE.

Submissions to either call must be made through CaFE by the deadline listed. There is a separate committee for each project, tasked with reviewing applications, selecting finalists, and making the final artwork selection. Wyoming artists are encouraged to apply to both calls.

Art in Public Buildings legislation for the State of Wyoming is administered through the Wyoming Arts Council.

Game & Fish Regional Office (Laramie)

The Wyoming Game and Fish Department is building a new Regional Office and Wildlife Forensic and Fish Health Lab in Laramie. A Request for Qualifications (RFQ) is open only to Wyoming artists with a deadline of May 31.

The new Laramie Regional Office and Wildlife Forensic and Fish Health Lab for the Wyoming Game and Fish Department will house offices, for wildlife law enforcement, biologists, access, outreach, conservation, and education staff. A conference room is also included that will be available for public use, and a lab that provides such services as wildlife forensic and ballistic testing, fish health and tooth aging.

This office will also be open to the public for general hunting and fishing information and to purchase licenses. The selection committee is seeking artwork for both the interior and exterior of the building.

Northwest College (Powell)

Northwest College in Powell recently opened the new Yellowstone Building and is seeking artwork for outside the building. This is a regional Request for Proposals (RFP) with a deadline of June 11.

Northwest College recently opened the new Yellowstone Building with the goal of strengthening relationships between the college and the community. The building houses state of the art facilities for Criminal Justice, Nursing, Social Sciences and Communications, as well as a conference area and other public spaces. The committee is seeking sculptural artwork for outside the building.
