Werner Wildlife Museum Guidelines 

WINDSWEPT

DEADLINE: OCTOBER 30, 2017

A juried exhibition of fine arts and fine crafts from Wyoming

Opening and reception: Thursday, November 9, 2017 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.

 

Eligibility: Exhibitors must currently reside in the State of Wyoming or be a faculty member, employee, or student at Casper College.

Entries must be original and entirely the work of the exhibitor. Derivatives of copyrighted material will not be accepted. For further clarification, please contact museum staff.

In keeping with the theme of wilderness, images are limited to those that can be found in the wild: no humans, domestic animals, feral animals, or trappings of civilization, please.

Submitted Work

  • Each exhibitor may submit up to two (2) works for the show.
  • All work must include appropriate means of hanging, mounting or otherwise displaying.
  • Exhibitor agrees to allow art work to remain on exhibit at the Werner until Monday, February 27, 2018
  • Exhibitor retains copyright on work.
  • The item price or “Not for Sale” (NFS) value must be included for insurance purposes.
  • Upon a sale, a donation from the exhibitor to Werner Wildlife Museum would be appreciated.

 

  • DEADLINE FOR ENTRIES: All artwork and accompanying paperwork must be received by the Werner Wildlife Museum staff by Friday, October 30, 2017 at 4:30 p.m.

Artists will be notified re: acceptance into the show by Friday, November 3, 2017.

Photography

The Werner Wildlife Museum and Casper College reserves the right to photograph entries for the purpose of documentation, education and publicity.

Liability

Every reasonable precaution will be taken during the receiving, installation, exhibit and return of work. Work should not be so fragile that public display would be potentially harmful to the work or the viewer. The Werner Wildlife Museum and Casper College provides insurance while art is on display, however not during transport unless by an official CC vehicle.

Agreement

Submission of the entries shall constitute an agreement on the part of the artist to comply with the conditions set forth in this submission form:

 

I hereby release and discharge the officers, employees and volunteers of the Werner Wildlife Museum from any and all claims occasioned by damage or loss of artwork while at the museum. No work accepted for this exhibition may be withdrawn prior to the closing of the exhibition. Permission to reproduce the artwork in the marketing materials on Casper College’s website, Facebook pages or for promotional and educational purposes is granted. All decisions of the Exhibition Committee and Casper College are final.

All sales will be conducted by the exhibitor. Werner Wildlife Museum staff will supply exhibitor contact information to potential buyers.

Agreement with the Werner Wildlife Museum Guidelines and Submission Form for this exhibition constitutes acceptance of all conditions stated and provides permission to the Werner Wildlife Museum and Casper College to photograph or reproduce any work for publicity.

Pieces must be picked up no later than 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 8, 2018. Works that remain at the Werner Wildlife Museum for more than 30 days will be considered abandoned and donated to charity. The Werner Wildlife Museum will attempt to notify the exhibitor prior to disposal.
